GO for new slab-casting technology!

In November 2014 we began improving our aluminium slab quality with the roll-out of the Albatros project on CCV1.

Today we received the approval to continue these improvements despite a deteriorated economic situation. A €7 million project was approved to install “LHC” casting technology on CCV1 and CCV3.

This new investment will allow us to better meet our customers’ needs and position ourselves in new markets.

All the teams will be working hard to install this new technology by June 2016.

LHC technology is the best available and Aluminium Dunkerque will be the first Rio Tinto Group plant to benefit from it.

A further mark of the Group’s trust.
