Hello everyone,
From Wednesday 23 April to Friday 25 April 2019, 4 Bureau Veritas auditors analysed our compliance with the ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and ISO 50001 (Energy) standards. It was the first time those 3 standards were audited at the same time. This audit is an opportunity for Liberty Aluminium Dunkerque to have an outside eye on its organisation and helps the site to progress.
Final results:
- No major non-conformities
- 100% compliance with the Energy standard
- 2 minor non-conformities with the Quality/Environment standards
Strengths mentioned
- The organisation of continuous improvement at our site (steering methods and tools, SWOT, master plans, infocentres, etc.).
- Internal communication.
- Foundry sector: customer capability project.
- Electrolysis sector: passing on instructions and sector control.
- Human Resources department: GPEC process and on-boarding programme for new recruits.
- HSE-Lab department: consideration of internal customer requirements and sustainable compliance process.
- Carbon sector: consideration of organisational risks.
Areas for improvement
- Make sure skills are shared and adequately covered in each team.
- Check our level of compliance with the requirements expected by our main stakeholders (interested parties).
- Take into account the financial stakes in all our actions.
- Ensure a more vigilant closing of our actions and prioritise them with a view to efficiency.
Well done for this very good result in a transition context for our site. Liberty Aluminium Dunkerque has proved its worth and must continue to improve to achieve operational excellence and now move towards economic efficiency.
Liberty Aluminium Dunkerque would like to thank everyone for their support and involvement in this audit.
Next appointment: for follow-up audit no. 1 in the 2020 quarter
