Boucles Dunkerquoises 2019: a year of records.

This Sunday 15 September 2019, Liberty Aluminium Dunkerque was a partner of the Boucles Dunkerquoises organised by Dunkirk.

a record 5,800 people took part in the event which has become a not-to-be-missed race. This 38th edition was marked by the presence of Kathrine Switzer, the American athlete who revolutionised women’s sport. The 1st marathon runner did us the honour of stopping off at our stand with the Mayor of Dunkirk, Patrice Vergriete, giving us the chance to capture the moment with the whole team.

It was also a record for our team: over 50 Liberty Aluminium Dunkerque runners and walkers took part in one of the 9 proposed distances. Wearing their 2019 T-shirts, they were “colourful” on the route through the Cité de Jean Bart. A big thank you to everyone for taking part in this sporting event; special congratulations to the team of volunteers for manning the stand in such good humour and distributing the gifts to all the participants. Once again, we can say they broke a record!

See you at the 2020 Boucles Dunkerquoises!
