Works committee information on the 10 June 2014 meeting

An extraordinary works committee meeting was held on Tuesday 10 June 2014 to continue the presentation of the various projects planned as part of Aluminium Dunkerque’s organisational transformation project.

Update on the plant’s situation

The meeting began with an update on the plant’s situation.
– The 264 electrolysis pots have been in service since this week.
– The strong commitment of the foundry staff has made it possible to deliver to our customers despite the SNCF rail strike.

Presentation of the projects planned as part of the transformation project

The Sector Managers continued their presentation of the various projects.

For each sector, the analyses carried out to determine the feasibility of the projects were presented. The Sector managers and senior management answered the questions raised during the meeting, and will cover certain questions at other meetings. This allowed a constructive discussion on the various projects.

As not all sectors were able to present their projects, an extraordinary works committee meeting is scheduled for June 23.

Update on the ongoing expertise

Since last week, expertise has been in progress:
– Emergences (commissioned by the CHSCT) for expertise on the impact of the transformation project on working conditions;
– SECAFI (commissioned by the works committee) for expertise on the economic and organisational impact of the transformation project.

The reports will be submitted to the works committee meeting of 26 June and to the CHSCT on 4 July. As part of this process, a large number of interviews are being conducted with employees in all categories (blue-collar, white-collar, supervisory and managerial). We would like to thank them for their availability.
